Description
Complex and very dry, with an intriguing berry aroma. Mildly tannic. Red berries with enticing aromas and bright, buoyant fruit on the palate. Fruit We use wild blueberries grown in western Massachusetts and Northern Maine and merlot grapes grown in New York. Winemaking The blueberries and grapes are processed and fermented separately in their skins until the desired color is attained. The must is then pressed and fermentation is completed in stainless steel tanks. The wine is transferred to American oak barrels for 8 to 16 months. It is then blended and bottled dry. Aging This wine ages well in the bottle for 3-5 years. Food Pairings and Serving Suggestions Complements red meats, turkey, game and strong cheeses. Serve at cool room temperature.
